NATP 2020 Manager's Workshop and Technology Fair

8/5/2020 - 8/6/2020

Description

The Manager’s Workshop and Technology Fair is a great time for learning, but more importantly, it is a time for networking. Even though we will be practicing physical distancing and masks are strongly encouraged, you can catch up with old friends, meet newer managers, get updates from NDOT, and visit with software vendors.

Plan to attend either in-person or virtually and you can register for one or both days. Register below or click here to download event brochure

On August 5, join us for an innovative technology fair.

  • Do you want to schedule a ride with 2 clicks?
  • Want to reduce no shows and late cancellations with an automated phone call reminder system
  • Interested in replacing on board fare collection by scanning pre-paid fare cards?
  • Would you like to run a download one spreadsheet with all your monthly operating statistics instead of collecting paper logs from your drivers to track and report vehicle revenue miles and hours of service?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then plan to attend the NATP/NDOT Technology Fair!

NDOT has pre-approved transit software vendors who will be on hand to demonstrate their system capabilities and answer your questions.  Learn more about how affordable technology solutions can help your agency with scheduling, dispatching, fare collection and data reporting.  Whether you have 2 vehicles or 20, technology can help you save time and improve efficiencies.

Managers, drivers and dispatchers are strongly encouraged to attend this exciting event and take advantage of this opportunity!

The NATP Annual Meeting will be held on August 5. During the meeting we will provide an update on association business, announce election results and present awards.

On August 6, Kari Ruse, NDOT Transit Manager, the NDOT Transit Team and our partners at the University will provide an all-day training and answer your questions.

Topics will include the following:

  1. COVID 19/CARES Act update
  2. Protecting civil rights during a pandemic
  3. Vehicle applications
  4. Transit facility construction applications
  5. Future funding
  6. Dashboard updates

Bill Bivin, the Statewide Mobility Manager, will be on hand to give updates including:

  1. Current projects, including technology, intercity bus projects, Northeast region coordination and Norfolk Flexroute
  2. Statewide Public Relations
  3. Statewide Mobility Manager
  4. Future projects
