Nebraska Hop Growers Association – Top Hop Event Information

Saturday, March 9^th – Heavy Brewing Company - 20333 Patton St, Gretna, NE 68028

12:00 – 4:00 pm – General Admission

You’re Invited to be a Vendor at 2024 Top Hop hosted by the Nebraska Hop Growers Association!

This beer festival was created to share the experience of Nebraska grown hops with brewers and the general beer loving population. There is no cost to be a vendor at the event, other than providing sampling beer and competition pours.

A special designated liquor license, souvenir tasting glasses and ice will be provided by the Nebraska Hop Growers Association at the event.

Top Hop Competition Rules: 

• Beers submitted in the Top Hop competition must be made with 100% Nebraska Hops.
• Professional and Home brewers are limited to 1 beer entered in the competition.
• We will have a blind judging competition - QR Codes will provide a survey for attendees to vote and provide feedback in 5 categories: Color, Aroma, Flavor, Body and Overall. Surveys will be shared following the event.

Awards will be presented on Saturday, March 9^th at 3:30 pm: 

• People’s Choice - Professional & Homebrewer Winners
• A brewery representative must be present to receive an award.

Beer Festival Rules: 

• Professional Brewers will have 6 feet of table space at the event, and homebrewers will share table space with room for 1-2 beers per homebrewer. Vendors are responsible for taps/jockey box for kegs and booth decorations or promotion material that fit within this space.
• Brewers must provide a minimum of one full sixtel size keg / style and tap for each. (Beer should be chilled before event)
• Brewers are invited to bring additional beer that includes Nebraska Hops to serve, but this beer will not be judged in the competition to accommodate up to 250 attendees.
• Brewery representatives limited to 2 persons admitted no charge.
• Vendors should assist in promotion of the Top Hop event and will be provided marketing materials and social media posts.
